This policy describes cookie categories used by Akvabliss storefront and how your cookie consent choices are applied.

1. What cookies are used today

Current storefront implementation uses only strictly necessary cookies for commerce flows.

cart_id - required to keep shopping cart contents between page loads and visits.
Medusa auth session cookie(s) - required when you sign in, manage profile data, and complete authenticated actions.
akva_cookie_consent - stores your cookie preference selection (necessary only or full consent).

2. Cookie categories

Cookie categories currently available in consent controls:

Necessary cookies (always enabled): required for cart, login, security, and checkout.
Analytics cookies (optional): currently not active by default in this storefront build.
Marketing cookies (optional): currently not active by default in this storefront build.

3. Consent behavior

Necessary cookies are set regardless of consent because core commerce features would not work without them.

Optional categories are disabled until explicit consent is given.

You can accept all cookies, keep only necessary cookies, or reopen settings and change preference later.

4. How to change preferences

Use the cookie banner buttons on first visit, or reopen preferences anytime via the Cookie settings button in the site footer.

You can also clear browser cookies to reset stored consent and session state.

5. Browser-level controls

Most browsers allow deleting existing cookies and blocking future cookies per-site. Blocking necessary cookies may break cart, sign-in, and checkout functionality.
